AETI EXAMPLE COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL PROJECT
Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)

In the event actual or perceived environmental hazard is identified during Phase I ESA, a Phase II ESA is conducted to confirm the presence, or absence, of environmental contamination.
Usually in the form of an intrusive (i.e. soil and/or groundwater sampling, geophysical assessment, modeling and analysis, etc.) assessment of a property, Phase II ESA is designed to further evaluate suspected environmental impairments and the extent of surface and subsurface contamination.
Information gathered during Phase II ESA is used to estimate the cost of remedial activities or Phase III ESA.
